Where to look from shore
La Paloma and La Pedrera have open coast and elevated viewpoints. Punta del Diablo, Santa Teresa, La Coronilla and Barra del Chuy also sit along the same broader coastline. Choosing an elevated or open viewpoint and spending patient observation time is more useful than moving constantly between beaches.
Build a trip that works without a sighting
Add lighthouses, beaches, protected areas, trails and food stops so the trip remains worthwhile if whales are not visible that day. Check local conditions and recent reports, but keep the itinerary flexible because wildlife behavior depends on weather, sea conditions and migration.
